Hello, my name is Ric Loll and I’m an Industrial Engineer and Project Manager. Since 1986 my professional life has been about examining problems held by many and varied organizations in an attempt to approve their operations. Early in my career I believed most problems were generated by process failures; the impact of improper process design. As I gained experience in depth in the field I found that in fact 80% of problems are people problems rather than process problems. Today I spend many of my days teaching professional development classes on management leadership techniques to executive throughout the federal government.
This blog will examine various aspects of the interface between process design and the search for efficient effective operations and organizations. I will also talk about my experiences instructing and consulting with clients in an attempt to provide insightful and humorous takeaways for the reader.
Since 2005 I have lived just outside Washington DC in Silver Spring, Maryland.
